Te Tii Marae — Whare Tūpuna Restoration & Development

ĀTEA supported the restoration and redevelopment of Te Tii Marae, a nationally significant site and kaupapa‑rich environment.

This mahi required navigating:

  • cultural integrity and tikanga

  • governance accountability

  • complex stakeholder relationships

  • delivery under intense public and community scrutiny

The project became both a defining professional experience and the foundation from which ĀTEA was formed.

  • supporting governance decision‑making

  • coordinating delivery across technical and cultural domains

  • maintaining kaupapa under pressure

  • enabling outcomes that honour whakapapa and place
